WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the Bible to be the only infallible,
authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is only
one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Our
Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in
His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His
personal return to earth in power and glory.
We believe that for the
salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential.
The ministry of the Holy
Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men
of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower
the believer for godly living and service.
We believe that the only way
eternal life is received is by faith alone in Jesus Christ.
Water baptism by immersion
soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin
and resurrection to a new life and the Lord's Supper is a memorial service
setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ;
all true believers and only believers should share in it.
The personal, premillenial,
and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing
on the personal life and service of the believer.
We believe in the present
ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to
live a godly life. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the
Biblical evidence of speaking in other tongues as a subsequent gift to
salvation. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they
that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual
unity of believers in Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that deliverance
from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all
believers.
We believe that every believer
is commissioned to go into the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the
Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey the
commands of Jesus Christ.
We believe the local church is the primary,
God-established base of worship, nurture, fellowship and evangelism.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today
within the Church through His gifts, fruits, and anointed ministers.
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are
given to every believer and need to be activated and exercised to fulfill their
divine purpose of blessing the Body of Christ.
We believe in the full restoration of the
corporate Body of Christ.
We believe in perfecting and equipping the saints
so they can enter in the full functions of the fivefold ministry that were
given, into the work of their ministry thereby edifying the whole Body of
Christ.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit
wherein the Spirit is sent to gift each believer with their own private
prayer/praise language used to edify themselves, and that such a baptism
empowers the believer to be effective for Christ.
We believe in proclaiming present-truth for the
purpose of establishing dynamic, growing local churches, building on the
foundational ministries of the Apostles and Prophets.
We believe in the autonomy of each local church and that
itinerant ministries should be based out of and related to a local church with
accountability to a senior minister.
